RUN-fessions of the Female Kind!

It's that time of the month again!  No, not that time... get your mind out of the gutter.  Lol!
It's the time of the month where we get to air our dirty little RUNFESSIONS.  I just love this time of the month!  Follow along and read up on some other runfessions from my fellow VRF and blogger Marcia

I'll start off this one with a BANG!  It's was bound to happen anyway.  We've all had those moments where we are out and about on a run and a bathroom is NOWHERE in sight.  Oh no!  What ever will we do?  Just this week, it happened to me for the very first time.  I RUNFESS.... I've never had to pop a squat outside while on a run.  I've come close. VERY close.

Monday, was one of those runs.  I commented to my running partner Heather that I thought I'd have to make a covert pit stop because that ever-growing pit in my stomach was getting too much to handle.  I was actually starting to get quite nervous because there really wasn't a great area to stop.  We were in a housing development no less... I couldn't just squat on someone's property!

Just about the time I didn't think I could wait anymore for the perfect spot to do my business, I turned the corner and.....VOILA!  A beautiful biffy!  It was as if a halo appeared at the top;  it was glowing in the moonlight...calling my name!  Whewh!  I narrowly escaped the inevitable.  At least for now!

You might be a runner if you have NO problem what-so-ever in using one of these!

I also must RUNFESS - I've never run commando.  Apparently, this is the thing to do.  Let it all air out.  No wedgies to speak of.  No chaffing from wet underwear.  Yes, gentlemen... we sweat.  We sweat everywhere.  How else did women coin the terms.... SWASS, SWOOB and SWUSSY??  I'll leave those slang terms to your imagination.

Nonetheless,  last week I received these amazing well-rounded compression shorts from Zensah.  They are a light compression short with a comfy smooth feel.  After a few of my fellow runner friends who were also reviewing these shorts commented on seeing their panty-lines, the company responded that they were designed to be worn commando!  What's that you say?  I'm testing a pair of shorts where its recommended to be without underwear?  I have to admit this is a bit out of my box.  But, I was up for the challenge!

If you're interested in checking out a pair for yourself you may use CODE:  ZENBIB15 for 15% off! They currently have four different colors.

And for my last runfession.  I RUNFESS,  I don't shave everyday.  I mean really?!?!  Who has time to shave their arms and legs every damn day?  I sure don't.  Now don't get me wrong,  I'm not an amazon woman.  But, I do confess that days have gone by without a sleek shave.

For those of you that have been following my blog for a while now,  you know that I run early in the morning.  Because my alarm rings at zero-dark-thirty, 4:45 to be exact,  I always set my clothes out the night before.   In the wee hours of the morning,  I roll out of bed, throw my clothes on and it's GO time!  Recently, I started incorporating more strength training into my workouts.  This has me spending more time at the gym, and that means tank tops and shorts!  WOOHOO!!

Thursday, while doing my overhead press with my dumbbells,  I looked in the mirror and nearly lost my S%$T!

I literally had a small squirrel under my armpits!  I.JUST.ABOUT.DIED!  A busy gym full of mirrors and hairy armpits!  THE HORROR!  I solemnly swear from now on I will make sure that never happens again!   Who knows... maybe no one took the time to notice,  but I sure did and my arm workout was modified from that point on!

Have a fantastic Friday!

  1. The hair arm pits on Survivor always freak me out. It was a "thing" not long ago to not shave your pits and dye the hair a bright color. I'm sure your gym mates would enjoy that! Hmm...commando? I don't know about that! Let me know how that works out on a long run.

  2. No commando here either. Then I worry about VPL in the gym....for a whole 3 seconds before not caring again. I'm sorry too many commando peeps have see-through tights. Thanks for linking!

  4. The commando thing kind of creeps me out, too. I see a pattern here ;-) I don't shave daily either....I think the hair on my legs has adapted to this routine, because it doesn't seem to get too scary (or maybe my vision is failing...). BTW...VPL is Visible Panty Lines LOL (I have teens....they keep me informed on all of my violations).

  5. I just can't do it. Even if there are built in shorts, I have to wear undies. But that's because of #1 above. And that's all I'm 'fessin'.

  6. Yup... I've run commando. It was ok. didn't see the difference between commando and wearing panties.

and about the armpits, I think it's no biggie. We all know that we have hair under our armpits, no shock there.
